Many students claim that they are more engaged in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) education when they see a purpose or social consciousness in the program. With this in mind, the Center for Engineering Education and Diversity in the College of Engineering hosts GT Engineering Explorations (GTEE), an event that allows middle and high school students to get a taste of the different engineering disciplines offered at Georgia Tech.
This day is an exploration of how engineering impacts our communities and lives on a daily basis via information sessions, panels, lab tours, and demonstrations. GTEE is designed not only to explore the different engineering disciplines but also to get students excited about engineering.
Please contact the Program Manager (firstname.lastname@example.org) to be added to the K-12 outreach list.
The next GTEE will be held during Engineer's Week 2015.
