Graduate Retention Enrichment and Academic Champions (GRAD REACH)

is an academic retention program that is open to all full time graduate students, but is focused on students who are traditionally under-represented in STEM fields. These groups include African-Americans, Hispanic/Latinos, and American Indians/Alaskan Natives/Pacific Islanders.

GRAD REACH is open to all full time students within the Colleges of Computing, Engineering, and Science. This is a peer mentoring program that pairs upper level graduate students with newer graduate students. It includes monthly meetings covering professional development topics, access to corporate sponsors, faculty research talks, campus resources and academic enrichment. Students will be assigned to small peer mentoring groups based on major and similar professional and academic goals. Students are eligible to apply to BOTH the GRAD RISE and GRAD P2P programs (separate applications). GRAD RISE includes funding and GRAD REACH does not. Please read the entire application and make sure that you double checked it and that you meet all of the above requirements before submission.
